When looking to get those long, voluminous eyelashes you see in mascara commercials contact your Melbourne, Florida cosmetic surgeon to see if Latisse is right you.
Most patients begin to see results after approximately 2-3 weeks of using Latisse each night. We usually find that optimal results occur at week 12. Once a patients desired lash length is achieved, you should continue to use Latisse 2-3 times a week to maintain these results. If you discontinue the use of Latisse, your lashes will return to their original length and thickness within 8-12 weeks.
Latisse has had rave reviews since it came on the market in 2008. It can lengthen your lashes up to 25%, increase fullness and thickness and also darken the lashes. The most common side effects reported are dry eyes and eyelid skin darkening. Redness and itchiness of the eye were also common. Latisse is only available through prescription and is aimed at helping people who have hypotrichosis, a term for having too few eyelashes. If you are concerned about the length and thickness of your eyelashes, then contact our office to see if Latisse can help you achieve the look you have been wanting.
